Let’s Make The Happiest Children: As PT Barnum said, “There is no picture so beautiful as smiling, bright-eyed, happy children; no music so sweet as their clear and ringing laughter.” That is why we want our thriving cocoa communities to succeed; to give children the opportunity to enjoy school and be protected from nasty, naughty working environments. Together, with our partners, we are using our farmer training courses to promote the importance of schooling, while also working alongside our local communities to raise awareness about child labor and its causes as a way to develop more solutions, more success stories, and more positives.

Here Is To Strong Women: At Chocolate Bar, we believe that girls with dreams become women with vision, which is why have long promoted equal opportunities for women throughout our brand -- from those in training to those in management -- and we are continuing to make this our priority by providing literacy and business training to women, while working with community groups to establish equal opportunities. The way we see it: girls just wanna have fun-damental human rights.

Leader of The New School: The secret to getting ahead is getting started, and that is why we have made education the heartbeat of our future. Through promoting children to enroll in school and keep up their attendance, we want to create learning environments that are accessible, safe, and properly equipped to make a difference, especially for children and young adults in cocoa-growing areas. That’s why we also provide families in the local community with school uniforms, learning kits and bridging courses. After all, one book, one pen, one child and one teacher is all it takes to change the world.

WE ARE THE CHANGE

There has never been a better time to be alive. No matter who you are, what your background, your religion, race, sexuality or gender, there has never been a better time to be alive -- and we want to keep that chocolate truffle rolling. But please don’t call this new and refreshing, a bit of a bonus or something extra, because we are simply doing what is right and what we believe the world needs.

To us, that means using 100% sustainable chocolate that empowers the craftsmen and women to achieve their dreams. That is the legacy we want to leave behind, and it starts with our chocolate farmers: elevating each farm to succeed, empowering the women to become financially independent, and helping the next generation to grow the cocoa of tomorrow. When you start with helping local communities, who knows where it will end.

What we do know is: we are going to keep going, keep elevating and keep spreading positivity. We will keep helping our farmers prosper, keep using deforestation-free suppliers, keep the children of our communities educated, and keep the planet feeling pretty positive about what’s going on - from our carbon commitment to our agroforestry initiatives to our clean energy goals.
